Swip Alot maintains numerous Facebook groups to make your buying, selling, and advertising even easier. To keep things running smoothly, we have developed a rule set that applies to all our groups, pages, websites, and apps. Violation of the rules can result in your post being removed, your account being muted, removed from the network, or banned from the network. We don’t want to do that though, and feel that the rules are simple and fair enough for everyone to follow.

Information

Thank you for joining Swip Alot. Use our network to buy, sell, and trade locally. Our website at https://swipalot.com offers many more advertising tools for Florida residents, including Classifieds, Employment Listings, and more.

Swip Alot groups are very open – we allow discussions, advertising, and sales of most things. Buy something. Sell something. Discuss the events of the area – rant, rave, ask for a business referral, a rental, or even find out what kind of snake it was you saw in your yard.

We respect opinions and encourage civil dialogue. Inappropriate comments, posts that use vulgar language, make threats or that encourage illegal behavior will be removed. Offending members are subject to being muted or removed from the group. If you are not interested in the item or price and have nothing worthwhile to add to a post, keep scrolling. Be civil – it’s a public group, and anyone can see your posts.

The group title reflects the geographical area and primary topic of discussion for the group. All content and business ads should be relevant within one county away from the location. If you are selling in this group, you will be expected to meet in the location in the title, unless alternate plans are made prior to confirming the sale. If you require pick-up, please mention your location in your post.

All Swip Alot groups are first come, first serve. This means contact the seller right away, and arrange the deal. Once plans are made, you are committed to this item/sale. Buyers should arrange pick up or delivery as soon as possible, and sellers should let other interested parties know they are in line.

Swip Alot is not responsible for any transactions that occur between members. Please check or test any items you are buying or selling, and eliminate the conflict before it even happens. Ask questions. Meet in safe places. If you have a problem, we do want to know, and will potentially remove offending members from the groups. You can post about your buying and selling experiences in one of our Wall of Shame groups, located at https://www.facebook.com/SwipAlotSupport

These rules apply to all groups, pages, websites, and apps operated by Swip Alot. Posting in our groups constitutes agreement with these rules.

Help

We are here to help and keep Swip Alot centered on great deals, good posts, and respectful comments. If you believe a post or comment is inappropriate, please report it to the group admins. Most posts will have a report button at the top right hand side.

You can also contact the admin team directly by clicking the Members button, and finding the Swip Alot name. Send us a message with any group related issues, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Every post that gets reported will be reviewed by a moderator. Not everything reported will be deleted.

Classified Ads on the http://swipalot.com website also have a report button, and the same rules apply. You can message our website admin team by pressing the Contact button on the bottom of the site.

Swip Alot is always looking to add new volunteer moderators to our team. Send us a message at http://m.me/SwipAlot if you would like to join the us.

Advertising

You can advertise your business as long as it’s relevant to local residents. No Work-at-Home offers, multi-level marketing, or referral programs.

All businesses advertising in our groups should be within one county away from the city in the group title, and limit your weekly posts to 7. Business posts should include the business name, phone, address, and link in the actual post text.

Businesses should know the laws regarding advertising your type of company. For example, If you are offering medical, handyman, contractor, or building services of any type, you are required by Florida law to provide your business license number on every advertisement you make.

Tattoo artists must show proof of license and post must include name of shop, address and telephone number.

While our primary rules restrict Facebook Live videos, businesses may use prerecorded video.

Swip Alot maintains a large network of social media pages, apps, and websites. Our website at https://SwipAlot.com links to local websites in every county of Florida. These websites offer an additional place to advertise. Each website has 2 mobile apps available, Android and iPhone. You can find links on the website, or search in the app store of your choice.

Our website runs Classified Ads, divided by categories. It is free to post and respond to ads. Premium services such as ‘Featured Ads’ or ‘Bumps’ are also available. Businesses can utilize the classifieds, or they can advertise with a graphic banner. The classifieds have a rating and review system on each ad, which allow our registered members to provide valuable feedback on the products and even the sellers. Accounts can be ‘Verified’ by using a phone number, which will give users additional credibility.

Each county in Florida is represented by it’s own website. You can access your local site by visiting https://SwipAlot.com, and choosing your location on the map.
